Phormictopus sp. purple (Dominican Violet) 4” FEMALE #46

Phormictopus sp. purple is also known as Phormictopus sp violet, Dominican violet or purple, Phormictopus cactus or cactus violet. I have sometimes seen it referred to as the "Caribbean Purple"

Very rare and sought after in the hobby due to its amazing purple coloration along with achieving a respectable size. They're fast growers and vicious eaters.  

A flash on a Nikon D5100 and external LED were used to bring out this tarantulas natural color. Aside from a crop and watermark these photos have not been altered in any way. Why "touch up" something that's already so beautiful?
