Brachypelma emilia is also known as the Mexican Red Leg. This tarantula is collected by beginners and experienced keepers alike. Known for being colorful and docile this scrub-land/desert tarantula is extremely hardy. A long-lived species the females can live upwards of 30 years. 

Recommended enclosure: A 4x4x6" Terrestrial Kit w/Magnetic Lock or 4x4x5” Terrestrial w/Classic Porthole.  Either would work for now, but would be outgrown quickly. Ideally I would put this specimen in a for 7x7x11” Terrestrial Enclosure Kit or 8x8x14" Terrestrial Enclosure Kit. 

Currently feeding on: Large B. lateralis.

Awesome Brachypelma emilia!!

I am very pleased with my Brachypelma emilia that I ordered from Jamie’s tarantulas. He is beautiful, sweet, eating great, and very active! I am enjoying watching him bulldoze his burrow. He is doing great and very healthy! Jamie was super helpful in answering all my questions and checking in to see how he was doing. I appreciate all of Jamie’s great customer service.
