The King Baboon Tarantula (Pelinobius muticus) is a legendary giant of the African continent, famous for its massive rusty-brown body and incredibly thick hind legs. As a deeply fossorial species, this tarantula spends most of its life crafting intricate underground burrows in the dry scrublands of East Africa. It is widely respected in the hobby for its intense defensive behavior, audible hissing mechanism, and powerful venom, making it a prized showcase species exclusively for advanced keepers.
