Monocentropus balfouri (Socotra Island Blue Baboon) 2”+ MALE & FEMALE PAIR #40 & 41

Native to Socotra, an isolated island approximately 150 miles east of the horn of Africa this unique tarantula possesses a unique and striking appearance. The "Socotra Island Blue Baboon" is an easy keeper who creates elaborate tubes. I have found this species to be less defensive than most other baboons, and think it could make a good first Baboon or Old World tarantula for an high-intermediate keeper.

Recommended enclosure: A 4x4x6" Terrestrial Kit w/Magnetic Lock or 4x4x5” Terrestrial w/Classic Porthole.  Either would make a great enclosure for this specimen for now! Keep in mind, in a molten or two this specimen will be large enough for a 7x7x11” Terrestrial Enclosure Kit or 8x8x14" Terrestrial Enclosure Kit.

Currently feeding on: Medium B. lateralis.
