Aphonopelma hentzi (Texas Brown) 2” Suspect MALE #525

Aphonopelma hentzi (Texas Brown) is an extremely hardy tarantula that can make a great beginner species.  Specimens are sometimes  "testy" although they make a wonderful display spider. Females are thought to live upwards of 30 years.  

Recommended enclosure: A 4x4x6” Arboreal/Fossorial w/Magnetic Locking or 4x4x5” Terrestrial w/Classic Porthole. Either would make a great enclosure for this tarantula! Keep in mind, in few molts this specimen will be large enough for a 7x7x11” Terrestrial Enclosure Kit or 8x8x14" Terrestrial Enclosure Kit. 

Currently feeding on: Large B. lateralis.
