Aphonopelma chalcodes (Arizona Blonde) is an extremely hardy tarantula that can make a great beginner species. Specimens are sometimes "testy" although they make a wonderful display spider. Females are thought to live upwards of 30 years. A "New River" female is pictured.
Recommended enclosure: A 7x7x11” Terrestrial Enclosure Kit or 8x8x14" Terrestrial Enclosure Kit could make a great permeant enclosure for this tarantula.

She arrived in good condition. It has settled in its new home, is eating well, and looking content.
This is the most chill tarantula ever. She is so big and beautiful, and is doing really well. I’m so excited to have her! She seems really healthy, too. Shipping was EXTRA fast, and she was really well packaged.
An excellent tarantula for someone looking for a more even tempered species. Very pretty, too!
