8x8x14" Tarantula Enclosure - Terrestrial Kit Includes:

When placed vertically the cage is ideal for any arboreal tarantula. There is a dam to hold back substrate on the bottom, as well as a lip on the top where the spider can build its web. The door opens in the middle instead of the top so you do not disturb or damage its web when the cage is opened for maintenance or feeding. When placed horizontally, the cage is ideal for terrestrial tarantulas. A door will open from the top to allow easy access to your terrestrial. A low ceiling helps prevent injury or death resulting from a fall. The ventilation holes are placed out of reach for small feeder crickets.
We have experimented with many different setups and believe this cage provides the proper balance of ventilation, while helping to maintain desired humidity. Each cage comes with two acrylic hinges and and lockable hasp. Acrylic cage and all parts included are made in the U.S.A. Our crystal clear cages are CNC-machine made for precision, quality and beauty that handmade cages just can't match!
These cages are recommended for terrestrial tarantulas 2" to 6" and arboreal tarantulas 3" to 7". Enclosure measures 8x8x14" and uses 1/8" wrap and 3/16" sides with a recessed door.
Under tank heaters and heat lamps are not recommended for use with Acrylic cages or with tarantulas in general.
By moving the sides offset, small ventilation holes are present in all eight corners of the cage. These narrow incisions aid greatly in regulating substrate moisture. In order for the cage to be completely watertight (ie: for a water feature) it must be sealed with aquarium silicone.

It's exactly what I needed to rehouse my spider.
Excellent design. Kit came with high quality supplies allowing for a display quality set up in minutes. Would give 5 stars except that the lid quickly warped. Still functional but does affect the appearance and long term usability if the warping worsens.
I purchased the 8x8x14" terrestrial enclosure kit, and it is better than I imagined. Very high quality and PERFECT msubstrate and "furniture"!! I can't wait to set it up for my Costa Rican Red Leg! Jamie was so kind to throw in a few freebie decorations! I am very pleased with this enclosure. I will be doing more business with Jamie in the future. What a lovely person!
8x8x14 Tarantula Enclosure with Terrestrial Kit. This is a great cage for my Pink Salmon Bird Eater 6" size. I love the two little cactus that come with it and the quality of all the other plant items included. This is a must for anyone with the bigger tarantulas. I upgraded from the 7x7x11, and my girl now has plenty of room to stretch out. I had to wait almost two months to get the cage due to it being on backorder, but Jamie took care of me as always.
